So I’m living the dream! Writing full-time, working from home, sticking it to the man and all that jazz.
But, now what?
I mean, my output as far as smut goes is pretty awesome now that I don’t have to squeeze in time before bed and before work and all of that. I put out about 1-2 shorts a week now. But most days I spend a huge chunk having some sort of tv marathon (Lost, PLL, Burn Notice) with spurts of productivity spread between. I used to love sick days and holidays and such because I had time off, but now that I’m home all damn day and I’m not gonna lie…I’m bored. For serious.
I’ve always had stuff going on. For years it was school and all the activities that came with that. Then it was work. My days were ruled by structure but now, its up to me to make my schedule. I have to hold myself accountable.
Don’t get me wrong–working from home is pretty freaking spectacular and I don’t wanna seem ungrateful. If you would have told me a few months ago that I’d be making a pretty good living off writing smut, I probably would have laughed at you. But I’m still trying to find my groove. I’m kinda clawing at the walls, trying to find any reason to get out of the house. I still need to find my balance. If anyone else that works from home has any tips so I don’t go stir crazy, I’m all ears!

Try finding something else you enjoy doing, for instance join a dance class, take a vacation to the caribbean, a self defense class… The list is endless:)

Vacationing is definitely on the top of my list. I actually decided to start volunteering, that way I don’t feel so bad that my degree is gathering dust.
