Cum get toasty with us by the far and welcome the delightfully naughty Molly Moore to the blog!
- Tell us about yourself in fifteen words or less.
In no particular order; Wife, slut, writer, photographer, sub, mother, friend, thinker, sexy, cumslut, kinky, whore.
- How do you define “erotic”?
Oh my, this feels a bit like the question; How do you define porn? With the famous answer of… ‘I don’t know, but I know it when I see it’. Do I have words that define erotic? As a writer I know I should but to be honest it is too abstract for that. For me erotic is a feeling, a sensation, a reaction. Erotic makes me think, makes me wonder, makes me wet, makes my eyes widen, my heart beat a little faster and my breath catch in my throat. Erotic is just that certain something that I can’t put my finger on but, hot damn, I know it when I see it! What’s one person’s erotic is another person’s yawn or porn.
- What makes erotica different than other genres (besides the knockage of boots)?
I have given this question a lot thought because my first reaction was to say nothing. Surely all writing should bring the reader pleasure. It is written to provoke, to challenge, to excite, to provide entertainment, enjoyment, share knowledge and ideas, to teach, and so on but then there is erotica and there is one thing that erotica has to do that none of the genres do and that is to stimulate the mind and bodily sexually. Erotica often encompasses many of the other genres too, you can have erotic thriller, erotica mysteries, erotic Sci-fi but the key to them all is still the erotic core which is to provide the reader with the added dimension of an erotic experience.
- Where do you find inspiration for your work?
Everywhere! The places I go, the people I meet, the things I read and watch, pictures I see but most of all the experiences I have. Much of my writing is autobiographical in nature and so my journey into my sexual self, my submission and my life with Sir has a huge influence on my work.
- What sets you apart from other erotic work out there?
I think the 3 main things that set me apart from other erotic work; the autobiographical elements to much of my writing, the fact that most of my writing is accompanied by my own self portrait photography and finally that I self publish all my work on my blog.
- Pick one of your erotic works–if it were made into a movie, who’d play the various characters and why?
To be honest this one rather stumps me for 2 reasons, one because I have a strong self identity within my work and so for the most part in my mind’s eye I see myself in the main role and secondly I am not big on popular culture and actors and the who’s who of the movie world. Having said that, just as I type this my piece ‘Twisted Words’ appeared in my brain and instantly I thought of Sean Connery. The piece requires a very special voice to bring it alive, something my husband did very well but if we are looking for beautiful male voices then I am going to nominate either Sean Connery or Anthony Hopkins, as for the female part….. That is up to the reader to cast.
- Where can readers connect with you and find your work online?
Easy! You can find me at Molly’s Daily Kiss, A little corner or the internet offering a very different erotica. If you would like to hear me in person you can also come along to one of the Filthy Mouths and Evil Tongue readings, and you can also find me at the monthly Erotic Meet get-togethers. I am also running a Female only photography shoot on the 11th December if anyone would like to come along, and last but not least I will speaking at Eroticon 2012 on the subject of Identity, Ethics and Sex Blogging.
**Wild! Question: What erotic stories are you working on now?**
The list is quite frankly endless and as fast as I write more ideas are added to the bottom of it, however the big project for 2012 is to write a more fiction based short novel. I have had so many people asking me and encouraging me to do this that quite frankly it is starting to feel like I am being rude not doing it. So here is to being rude with words and not with inaction in 2012!
